Summary

Welcome to HOOVERING, the podcast about eating. Host, Jessica Fostekew (Guilty Feminist, Motherland) has a frank conversation with an interesting person about gobbling; guzzling; nibbling; scoffing; devouring and wolfing all up… or if you will, hoovering.

This week I’m talking to the always wildly funny and wonder-filled comedian Kemah Bob from her Mum’s house in Houston, Texas. She hoofs a taco salad for lunch, her time, whilst I smash some defrosted ratatouille with rice and a massive fuck off handful of cheese.

Everything written below in CAPITALS is a link to the relevant webpage.

Honourable Mentions

You’re missing out if you’re not all over KEMAH BOB on social media.

She has a new show coming soon called ‘Good To See You’ which will be in instragram live and Facebook any day now - keep an eye on her socials.

And she’s a big part of FOC IT UP COMEDY NIGHT which may well be going online soon and if not, find it in the new world, it’s all about the most brilliant femmes of colour and getting their voices amplified. Please.

I’m doing liquid hoovering LIVES over on INSTAGRAM every week with former guests - make sure you’re following the INSTAGRAM and TWITTER for @thehooveringpod to be sure not to miss one. They stay in my Insta stories for 24 hours after they’re up as well.

My live stuff is obviously all on hold but I’m in two series on telly at the moment, THE TROUBLE WITH MAGGIE COLE on ITV Hub and TRIGONOMETRY on the BBC iplayer.

If you have any spare dollar in your life the first thing I’d like you to do with it is give it to either a food bank like the TRUSSELL TRUST.

If after giving to them you’ve still got more spare dosh to give a month I’m on this great site called PATREON where I swap your money for ace podcast related stuff like totally exclusive content and guest recipes. It’ll help me keep the podcast not just alive, but also thriving. Thanks so so so much if you’ve become a patron recently and/ or stuck with me since the beginning of this.

We talked about my missed frosty opportunity at WENDYS

And this is the atrocity that is AIR THRILL which I name dropped at the very end.

If you want to be part of quarantine cooks either to cook or to receive some lovely food and you’re south east London based please email Joe and Charlotte at
