You're going to discover a mudra to help you feel more energetic yet not to feel energetic

and a frazzled hectic type away but rather in a calm, steady way. This mudra also helps

provide you with courage. As you honor yourself this week, this week our theme is all about self-care,

appreciating yourself. It's part of our month-long focus on gratitude. So you will take some time to

be grateful for yourself today. If you're not sure what a mudra is, mudras are ways you

position your hands and they're often referred to as yoga in your hands. The mudra for today is

simple to do. It's called the Apan mudra. You can see how it's done on the Sip and Om

Facebook page. Sip and Om is the name of my website and the Facebook page is where you will see the

mudra. This is a simple mudra to do. I can explain how to do it. You touch your thumb doing this

with both hands placing your palms upward. Touch your thumb to your middle and ring finger.

And your little finger and your index finger are extended outward. That's it. Helps to provide you

with a clear energy and courage. So this is a fun option to do throughout your day as well. So when

you're not meditating but you still want to say tuned in to your intention for this week, you can

do this upon mudra. Now as you do the mudra and get ready to settle yourself down to meditate,

think about how self-care really does involve some measure of courage and energy. Many times

it's easy to think of meditation, yoga, all these different kinds of self-improvement.

And rituals that you can do, we think that if we do them, suddenly we're going to feel calm.

Well that might happen, but what's more likely to happen is that you focus your energy

and you create the calmness. It doesn't just land in your lap. It's a dynamic process.
