Well, turn with me to two places, please, this morning.

1 Samuel the 2nd chapter and Romans 13th chapter.

Would be glad to let you use one of ours.

And turn to these two openings, please.

It's taking the time, making the effort to turn and find it and letting your eyes rest on it

is one way of showing respect for the word. And just reminding yourself, Brother Keith didn't

say this. This is what God said. This is what he said.

And so letting it get into you and changing your life.

In 1 Samuel 2, we saw that Eli was over the house of God

and his sons were priests under him,

but they were doing wrong things and bad things. And the Lord had warned him

to not allow them to do that, but he let them go. And in the 29th verse of 1 Samuel 2, he said,

the Lord told him, he said, you've honored your sons above me. And verse 30, he said, wherefore the Lord God of Israel said, I said indeed that your house and the house of your father should walk before me forever.

But now the Lord says, be it far from me.

So even though he had given the priesthood and the privilege of the ministry and honor of the service of the Lord's house to him and his family and told him he had given it to him to his father and him and to his sons and their sons after them in perpetuity, he said it's not going to be that way.

I told you that. I gave it to you. But now it's not going to be that way. I told you that. I gave it to you.

But now it's not going to be that way.

Because them that honor me, I will honor.

But those that despise me shall be lightly esteem.
