0:17.0	Well our main text if you want to turn there is 1st Peter chapter 2 verses 13 through 17 today
0:26.0	but I want to get a running start at it through the context who Peter has been talking to and if you
0:31.5	recall at the beginning of the letter he called us
0:34.3	elect exiles and you hear the tension in that title. You are elect, you are chosen, but
0:41.0	you're exiled, you're rejected, you're embraced and estranged.
0:46.3	The Trinity has embraced you in Jesus Christ, but now you're at odds with the culture.
0:52.1	He's talking to the believer in Jesus.
0:53.9	And he lets them know that God is worth celebrating
0:56.7	because you are born again for the finished work of Jesus.
0:59.9	And so you have a living ever-present hope that you have a beautiful inheritance.
1:06.5	Your future is unassailable.
1:09.4	You win in the end.
1:11.7	But now you will face trouble. There will be struggle. Your
1:15.9	inclusion in the family of God has brought you in detention with the culture. Life
1:21.5	is hard, but that hardship doesn't mean the plan is lost.
1:25.0	God launched a plan of redemption in eternity past and it's run through generations
1:32.0	after generations into yours and you know things
1:34.5	about what God is doing in Jesus that other generations longed to know. So
