0:00.0	Well, I'm so, so excited for this new series that we're in, all kinds of prayer.
0:10.5	And, church, I don't know about you, but I am not where I want to be on the prayer spectrum.
0:16.3	And I'm so grateful that we serve a God who allows us and invites us in to grow and to change
0:25.1	and to get better and stronger and fitter. And so I'm excited to get to be launching us into this season.
0:37.2	And you guys, I'm going to do something I don't think I've ever done
0:39.4	before. I'm going to give you my title at the very beginning of my message. My title today is
0:47.3	honest to God. Honest to God. And the subtitle, you can write, Telling God What to Do. And then the third thing
0:57.9	you can write down is kind of the sermon in a sentence is when we plead in our pain, God gives us
1:08.6	his presence, his peace, and his power.

1:17.2	Would you turn in your Bibles to Psalm 143?
1:21.7	Psalm 143.
1:23.1	And as you do, I just, at the start of a series about prayer, I just want to remind us all that this
1:30.2	is a no judgment, no condemnation zone. Because when we say, hey, we're going to talk about
1:37.7	prayer, I feel it myself where it's like, oh, no, I'm going to learn about all the things that I'm not
1:43.4	doing and all the things that I'm getting wrong. And I just, and I'm going to learn about all the things that I'm not doing and all the things
1:44.9	that I'm getting wrong. And I just, and I don't want to feel all that. And so let's just relax
1:50.3	our shoulders a little, just take a breath and know that as we open God's word, he's going to speak
1:57.8	to each and every one of us right where we're at. And how grateful are you
2:03.8	that we serve a God who does just that? He doesn't expect us to be here. He doesn't want to leave us here,
2:10.8	but in the journey in between, he is so faithful to invite us in to change, to true, real life change. And I personally want to grow.
2:20.9	And so I'm leaning in with you, church, and I'm excited with you. So let's let down our defenses
