I'm so excited for you to hear my interview with today's guests. I know I always say that, but I love this guy so much.

It's our first cis straight guy.

And he's just like, he's exactly what I want to see in like the straight male community.

And when I say that, I'm coming from a perspective of having grown up like in Missouri in the 90s.

And it was just like straight and gay were such like tiny boxes that everyone was

trying to be like crammed into and like you know straight guys like played sports didn't care

how they dressed and were mean to their girlfriends and gay guys like comb their hair

sang in choir and it was just it was just so rigid and unhelpful and maybe

like even harmful that I just like, I love to see where we're all headed. Like there are just,

there's so many straight guys who are so like open emotionally now and like care how they dress.

And conversely, there are some disgusting gay men walking the earth these days

who need to take a shower. And I think that's so beautiful. But my guest brought up so many

like memories of like straight guys I encountered growing up. So I thought for today's,

a little bit about Sada me, I would talk about my first straight boy. And I mean that in a completely like innocent platonic sense. There was this guy, he was for like 17 or 19 who lived down the street for me, John Paul. And he lived in the only two-story house on my block.

Like I grew up in like, um, I was pretty poor growing up. I was in the Webster Grove school

district, which is like a nice school district, but I lived in Rock Hill, which was like kind of like

the other side of the track sort of or like lower income families and like I did not have

a basement or an upstairs and John Paul had both so like right right out the gate I was just like

oh my god he's like rich and gorgeous and this is like little gay six year old me who did not

know he was gay yet um and my mom would drop me off at John Paul's house for him to like watch me while she did errands.

And there was also another boy there. I'm trying to remember if was John Paul's brother or just
