I think we're just going to go to the Mexican place up the road for dinner but we're not really doing that much, but I got her a good gift.

and the boys and what it all says about America.

You're a watcher of the boys and I was wondering what kind of things you think about when you think of the character of

Homeland, who's kind of like a stand-in for Superman.

Yeah, but he's also a stand in for Donald Trump and Trumpism

and the cult of personality that America has sort of fallen victim to delusional narcissism stunted

emotional development all of those things that are very American.

And the other thing I find so funny about it is the fact that this sort of horrific

caricature of what America can be is paid by someone we all know is by a New Zealand

from New Zealand TV. Yeah like a West Aucklander from Outrageous Fortune who

played kind of drunken twins in a local show and he's so good. Americans don't get

their capacity for absolute absence of self-awareness and self-reflection is just incredible.

Like that's the thing like I just don't think that Trump could happen in another country

because people would be like oh no no, that's a bit much.
