Oh, it's going to be a great day. You know, we started this church in 1992.

Wendy will tell you, I was 13, she was 15, and we started in the courtyard Marriott in

Bellevue, just down the street here. I believe there was 21 of us there that day.

Pastor Jude you remember that day and I think all the all the kids were boys. I think

there were seven boys and one girl.

Pastor Jude, you remember everything?

Tell you what.

And I think I did a puppet show of David and Goliath for them.

And it was a historic day, it was a fun day.

And it was about a year before that, God put it in the heart of my dad

to name our community, the city church.

And I'm sure he must have talked it over with Pastor Iverson

by the way my spiritual grandfather is here the man who

disciplined and mentored my dad we wouldn't even have a church if it wasn't for Pastor Dick Iverson, who is here this morning.

Pastor Iverson, love you so much.

and dad talked about it when he was planning back in the early 90s to plant this church

And the name city church kind of surfaced in my dad's heart and he

believed that our community would be a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden.

Well in 1992 with 21 people at the courtyard Marriott we were very hidden. In fact we knew no one.
