Amen. Y'all go ahead and have a seat. As you do so, I would go ahead and open up your scriptures

to John 17. If you're a note taker, get your journals ready, pins out. We're going to jump right in.

Like Miles said, my name is Tyler. I'm one of our pastors and staff here, and I'm honored and excited to be here with

y'all and all of you joining us

through all of our extended locations, excited to open the Word of God with you and excited to get us to the moment that Miles mentioned where we get to receive the Lord's Supper together. And so quite honestly, the title of the sermon, if you want one, is Holy Communion. If you're a note taker, you need to write that down.

I'm going to try to lay out for us very simply in a short amount of time what we believe about Holy Communion, what the Church has believed, what scriptures say about it, and what actually

happens when we experience it. I think you guys have felt a rising reverence in our church for

Holy Communion. We take it each week, the communion stations,

all those types of things. So I just want to lay out for us. I'm going to try to do this simply

and full transparency. If you know anything about me, my want and desire would be to be very

exhaustive and hit on every little question, everything that we could get to. We are not going to

do that. We don't have time. I don get to. We are not going to do that.

We don't have time. I don't even have the capacity and ability to do that. I don't have that in my bag, as the kids would say. And I want us, like Miles said, to get to that communion moment where we can receive together. So I say all that to say, if you know me and have heard me teach before, I will go a little fast.

There will be quotes and scriptures that go up on the screen that you will not have the time

to write the whole thing down, but we have a PDF with all of those notes together.
