Summary

This week, our Auburn Lead Pastor, Gage Henry, brings our “52” series to a close with a word from Isaiah 58—a blueprint for how Nehemiah rebuilt the walls. He highlights three holy confrontations that ultimately lead to our responsibility bearing fruit from what God has spoken, calling us to a life that doesn’t just look good on the outside, but one that truly obeys God from the inside out.

What you just read was written a few hundred years before Nehemiah rebuilt the walls in Jerusalem. And yet it's the exact blueprint

And I've talked about this lot but ultimately I was wrestling with the question how do we as Americans go into a space and not hurt the community that we actually go to serve and so I was reading this book on the way to go there and it was titled when helping hurts I don't know if you read this book before and then if you don't know the story three years ago I ended up getting hurt I broke my whole face when I was on this trip in Ecuador. And a buddy thought it'd be good to take a picture of this. So here's a book, a picture of the book that I was reading with me with my broken face behind it. And I remember looking at this story at the end of prayer and fasting, 40 days, Jesus up back in the synagogue and he comes in the power of the spirit and he reads this.
