Well, as always in Hollywood, it seems the rumors have proved true. Ben Silverman is out at NBC. The unshocking denouement of Ben Silverman's slightly more than two-year tenure as co-chairman of NBC's television operations, the network and the TV production studio.

He was a party boy. He was a colorful character. He famously threw the pre-Mies party with the

live tiger and the girls in bikinis. What will we do without him? I don't know. Are you

sure you're not getting him confused with the guy from Scarface? He may be confusing himself with the guy from Scarface, but Jeff Gaspin, who was running the cable operations over there, he is the anti-Benz Silverman, a very button-down guy.

He's apparently been waiting to get this promotion for a long time.
