Good morning, Church family.

My name is Kevin Harris.

When I was young, I was insecure and often ashamed because I connected love and worth to my

ability to measure up to an ever-changing standard.

And then I met Jesus and gave my life to him.

Now I know that nothing I can do will ever change God's perfect love for me, and that on the

cross, Jesus took away my guilt and shame.

Do you have a story like that?

Our text today is 1.13 through 16, and it says, therefore, preparing your minds for action and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the

grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance.

But as He who called you as holy, you also be holy in all your conduct.

Since it is written, you shall be holy as I am holy.

This is the word of the Lord.
