Summary

Though we are just now emerging from the season of Thanksgiving, tomorrow marks the first Sunday in Advent. We hold much gratitude, grief, and tension as we approach this Christmas season not only because of the anticipated flurry of gift-purchasing and gift-giving, but the coming of Jesus and the “tense, complex, wild narrative” of the Christmas story itself. Listen as Dan and Rachael enter into these topics with grace and guidance as we move into this wholly unpredictable holiday season.

0:42.1	As I told you, it was hard for me to actually tell it was a new shirt because it follows the same form and structure of most of your shirts.
0:47.1	But I was aware it was a new color. I feel like I really enjoy it. It's a great color.
0:52.2	Thank you. Thank you. Yeah, it's a fishing shirt. I don't, I, like, I don't really want clothing
0:58.4	that does not take me to the water, literally. Like, I'm not going to buy something that I can't use
1:05.8	when I fish. On the other hand, even when I'm not fishing, I want to be reminded that I could be fishing, and that in some sense, everything that I get to do is a form of fishing.

1:17.7	Well, I bring that up because a dear friend who owns a really lovely company called Buffalo.
1:31.3	Oh, gosh, isn't that incredible with just... Buffalo Jackson is the name of the company.
1:35.3	Sent me like eight shirts.
1:38.3	And I was for Thanksgiving.
1:41.3	It was like, I get a gift for Thanksgiving.
1:46.1	I don't know why.
1:47.4	It's just, in this season, I've been basically wearing shorts and T-shirts.
