She's a pediatrician and a mother of four.

Her third child, Rosie, died suddenly in her sleep in May of 2024 at just 18 months old.

Florentia and her family would later learn that Rosie was one of at least 433 children in the United States each year

who die from something called sudden unexplained or sudden unexpected death in childhood, also known as SUDC.

Most people, me included, have never heard those letters before.
