As their president Deborah Archer says, this might be the work the ACLU was built for but we know they can’t be left to fight alone. We have been divided on purpose, but the time has come to come together. We can’t just have justice by geography, or gender, or sexual orientation. We, the people means everyone. Everyone deserves due process and civil rights. Everyone should have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and it’s up to everyone to bridge the gap between the America that was promised and the America that is. 0:38.9	Well, this podcast was scheduled for last week. After the No King's protests were a wild success, but before Donald Trump and his administration of incompetence had
0:43.7	bombed Iran, our wannabe king is making terrible decisions, and people don't like it. From the
0:49.2	ice raids to the lack of due process, to the hideous and harmful budget bill, and now to the disruption
0:54.7	of the world order. We saw Trump's poorly attended birthday parade, but the administration
0:59.4	tried to tell us it was a rousing success. Just like they are trying to tell us, they completely
1:03.8	obliterated Iran's nuclear power when the experts are pretty sure Iran moved all of their stuff.
1:09.3	The point is the Trump administration is doing
1:11.5	great damage, but their story they're trying to sell us is that they're not. That they are wildly
1:16.6	successful, wildly popular, and everything is going well. But everything is not going well. People are
1:22.0	unhappy and we have to keep fighting back. At the end of the day, it's going to come down to the will and work of the
1:28.3	people to stop this man before he becomes unstoppable, to do what we need to do in groups, with
1:34.5	collaborators, with the teams and organizations working together to defeat this rising tide
