The Phillies had a big win in game one of their series with the Blue Jays on Tuesday night.

On Wednesday, Mick Abel is scheduled to make his second Major League start, and on Thursday,

we're hopefully talking about a sweep in Toronto.

We're going to talk with the editor of philly's minor thoughts.com, Matt Winkleman, in a minute, to discuss what Abel's been up to since he dominated the Pirates in his big league debut

a few weeks ago.

But first, Bryce Harper came back and the Phillies started hitting.

Starting over across the border in Toronto last night after that Brewers sweep at home. The second

time the Phillies have been swept at home in three years. Previous time was against the Yankees,

but an anomaly that I'm sure the Phillies are very eager to wipe from

their memories. Well, they refreshed themselves after four straight losses and an off day with a

big time eight to three victory over the Blue Jays on Tuesday night. Bryce Harper was back in the

lineup after being pulled for a few days. He was dinged on the elbow by that Spencer Strider pitch, but no more discomfort there,

as far as, you know, we could tell, given what he did in this game after coming back.

The Phillies clocked in early with six runs on the board while some people were likely still

tuning in and finding out that Scott Fransky was in the TV broadcast booth as Tom McCarthy had moved over to TBS

to do a Cleveland Guardians game because that just, you know, that just happens sometimes,

apparently.

Toronto starter Bowden Francis managed to get five outs in his entire start, and they all were
