The longest Psalm in the Bible is Psalm 119.

It has been called the Psalm of the Scriptures because it concentrates on one thing,

the amazing sufficiency of God's word for our lives.

Open to Psalm 119 today and open your heart to the Lord as we join Scott Pauli in this study.

It is our prayer that through God's truth, you will find all you need.

Can you believe that after all these many weeks, we have now come to the final section of Psalm 119,

and what a section it is? It ends with an emphasis not only on the Word of God. It certainly emphasizes

that, as the whole Psalm does, but now on our words connected to his word.

In other words, I love this thought that God not only wants you to hear his word,

he wants you to repeat it.

He not only wants you to read it, he wants you to relay it.

He wants you to use your mouth and let your words connect to the truth that he's revealed in scripture. Let's read the section

together. You'll see what I'm talking about. Psalm 119, beginning in verse 169, down to verse 176. He says,

let my cry come near before thee, O Lord, give me understanding according to thy word. Let my supplication

come before thee, deliver me according to thy word. Let my supplication come before thee, deliver me according to

thy word. My lips shall utter praise when thou hast taught me thy statutes. My tongue shall speak of

thy word for all thy commandments or righteousness. Let thine hand help me, or I have chosen thy precepts.

I have longed for thy salvation, O Lord, and thy law is my delight.

Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee, and let thy judgments help me.

I have gone astray like a lost sheep.

Seek thy servant, for I do not forget thy commandments.
