thanks girl I have a question for it excuse me wow hello okay I'm doing great

I have a question for you so this guy and I have been trying to date for a while now

but since he's a little young his parents want us to wait they keep asking questions like

why do you want a label girlfriend or boyfriend and stuff like that my question question is, what is the biggest distinction

between friendship and dating?

Is it just the romantic involvement

between the two people?

Now, as most of you guys know,

even though I use the word dating very casually,

like, you know, the kind of subtitle of the

podcast and everything I courted my husband and that was just kind of where my

mindset was and courting is where you are spending significant time with someone

knowing that the long-term goal, whether you marry each other or not, if that makes sense,

like the long-term goal is for marriage and

whereas dating some people might date and never want to get married so they're

just dating you know getting to know someone so I'll'll speak from that standpoint the difference

between friendship and courtship is where you're actually working toward a long-term

relationship and that's something that you hope for the future and so you treat each other in that way.

So I think what her question is like,

they kind of have the rule from his parents

that he's not ready to date yet.
