Hey, listener, I'm Eric Taylor. It's been a few weeks since I've given my outlook on what's

happening in the world as it affects us in the beauty industry. L.A. County health

supervisor Barbara Ferrer a couple weeks ago tried to reimpose a mask mandate in

LA County. I don't even know if anybody noticed. I think I posted a couple things on my Instagram,

but otherwise I didn't really notice anyone even paying attention. She announced it with

about a two-week advanced notice.

Then a couple days before it started, she backed off,

which is actually what other counties have done as well,

like San Francisco County, kind of threatened it,

and then they backed off.

I think Santa Clara County also threatened it and then backed off.

And then Barbara Ferrer did the same. Since then, I mean, almost to the day,

case numbers have been falling, hospitalizations,

most of which, by the way, are not due to COVID,

but rather people in the hospital for something else

who happen to have COVID have been falling.

And deaths, which again, you know, it's uncertain whether

these deaths are because of COVID. The deaths never actually spiked meaningfully in this last

kind of increase, what do they call it, B1.5 or whatever. I could have totally gotten that wrong,

but never really spiked meaningfully and are still low so it's a good thing it's a good thing that we

didn't get a mask mandate because if Barbara Ferrer went ahead with it she
