Hey, listener. I'm Eric Taylor. So happy new year. I hope everybody had a great new year. I had a

very interesting new year. The plan was to do very little. Initially, my wife and I were going to stay home.

And then we're talking to some friends and they said, we were going to stay home too. Why don't we stay home together?

But you guys would have to come over here because we're willing to cook. And so we said,

fine. That's a pretty good deal. As long as we can wear

our pajamas or sweatpants or whatever, very comfortable. You know, no big deal, right? That was the

plan. But of course, that's not what actually happened because about two hours before we were

going to head over there, the fateful text

flew from one wife to the next wife and what did that fateful text say? You probably know what it said.

I'll give you one more beat for you to imagine. What was the fateful text that turned the entire

evening? It was a text that said

what are you wearing that's right what are you wearing so my wife went from yes i'm going to go in my

workout clothes to oh shit we're going to dress up and i thought what do you mean just because the other girl texted what

are you wearing that doesn't mean anything and she said you're wrong it means everything it means

that she's going to dress up and if she dresses up that I have to dress up and guess what two other

couples also matriculated into this whole scenario.

So we have more people who care about what they're wearing if other people are wearing things

nice. So other responses on the text chain were things like, are you going to wear those boots, quote

unquote? And it's like, oh, you should wear those heels. I'm making that up. Not nobody wear

heels. But you get my point. And so this very casual evening turned into something which actually

ended up being kind of fancy.
