and publish everything here, so we're going to go quickly.

But today we are talking about the Kara Swisher interview

with Elon Musk that was posted this morning as well as some quick

call-outs from a cursory scan of the 10-Q that Tesla published this morning as

well. Tesla stock on the day finished up 0.62% to $346.41.

This compared to the NASDAQ down 1.04% on the day, not helped by Apple earnings.

After reporting earnings yesterday, Apple was down 6.63% today.

Okay, so quick takeaways from the Recode interview.

I thought it was a good interview.

I would recommend that people listen to it.

I think overall, Elon seemed in very good spirits spirits definitely in a different place than we've seen him in recently

He gave a few interesting product updates one of which was on autopilot saying he thought that they would be ready for full self-driving sometime next year.

Elon also mentioned that they're starting to integrate stop signs, traffic lights, and do things like

hard right turns. Those things are definitely the next step above enhanced autopilot starting to get into those full self-driving features

Elon also talked about the likelihood of another automaker being able to compete with Tesla in autonomous driving

saying that the probability of that happening
