Trump is holding talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and several top European leaders

at the White House today to discuss a possible end to Russia's war in Ukraine. The president said

they'd talk about security guarantees for Ukraine and land concessions to secure peace.

During media remarks, German Chancellor Friedrich Mertz advocated for a ceasefire before a

trilateral meeting with Trump, Zelensky, and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

I can't imagine that the next meeting would take place without a ceasefire.

So let's work on that and let's try to put pressure on Russia.

However, Trump questioned whether it was, quote, necessary.
