Welcome to Our Henhouse. This is Marianne Sullivan. This is Jasmine Singer.

0:13.6

And this week, Jasmine will be chatting in a very interesting conversation with tennis champion

0:18.4

and founder of high-impact athletes, Marcus Danielle, about connecting

0:23.0

athletes to opportunities for charitable giving. That really makes a difference, including,

0:28.1

of course, for animals. And this was a pretty interesting conversation for you, wasn't it?

0:33.8

Yeah, very intriguing. I love this guy. Like Marcus, you can move in. We have an extra room in the

0:43.3

attic. It's not going to be weird at all. No, seriously, like, I want to be best friends with,

0:49.6

well, second best friends with him. My best friend, Erica, will get very mad if I don't say that.

0:53.7

So second best friends with Marcus. But I do want to talk about something. So as our listeners know,

0:59.7

but it bears repeating, we generally interview vegans. Like that is 99.9% of who we interview.

1:08.0

1:19.8

animal issue, maybe. They are, they are exceptions. They are few and far between now.

1:24.8

1:32.2

or something like that. And, you know, I obviously that's not vegan or vegetarian. And we had a

1:41.1

discussion and we were like, well, we'll talk to him about it. And my understanding at the time was that, like, you know, there is an argument that oysters

1:47.9

aren't sentient. So I was like, okay, fine. It's an opportunity to have that conversation.

1:53.5

Yeah, exactly. So I'm like in the weeds in this interview with him And he mentioned eating eggs. And I was like,

2:04.2

you know, first of all, I don't think we would have invited him on to be totally honest,

2:08.8

just because it goes against what we're doing. However, he is doing so much work for animals

2:15.1

and we're in the middle of this interview. I'm honestly so

2:18.6

glad we had him on because he's he's so smart and fascinating. And it gave us an opportunity to talk
