All right, everybody, welcome back to another edition of The Teardown.

My name is Jeff Gluck.

I'm along with Jordan Bianchi.

We are motorsports writers for the athletic.

And today I'm here at Kansas Speedway.

And Jordan is at home in Charlotte area before we reconvene next week for Talladega.

But right now we're here to talk about Kansas, and this race looked completely different

from what we thought it was going to be because it didn't seem like it was thought

it was going to be pretty straightforward for most of it.

No natural cautions for the vast majority of the race.

Then you have, looks like it's going to come down to a tire call, Jordan.

You have Tyler Redick had four lap fresher tires.

And I said five on TV, but from what scoring said,

he had four lap fresh tires.

He tracks down to Danny Hamlin, takes a lead, but Denny Hamlin is able to pass him back,

and it looks like Denny is going to get some sort of redemption for last fall,

when, of course, all the Toyotas were the best, and they threw it away for a Hendrick

motorsports driver to win instead.

Then overtime comes out.

The Toyotas get together again, and it looks like Hendrick Motorsports driver is going

to win at the expense of Toyota yet again.
