Hello everybody and welcome back to the YouTuber News podcast. My name is Benedict Townsend, of course,

and it's wonderful to be back with you for another episode. And this week, I want to start off by saying

a huge thank you to so many listeners of this show, because quite a big, sensational thing happened

in the period between these most recent episodes. the Spotify Unwrapped was revealed,

which is, you know what, I think it's actually called Spotify Rapped, but everyone calls it

Spotify Unwrapped. It's like a weird Mandela Effect thing. Anyway, it came out for 2020, and it gave

you lots of stats, as always, about your Spotify listening habits, you know, what artist do you

like the most? Sigh. What song have you

listened to the most? Gangnam style. Which album have you listened to the most? Gangnam style

the album. Stuff like that. But it also, this year, I don't know if this is new, but this year it also

gave podcast stats, because as you may know, Spotify has gone all in on podcast recently. And so I was delighted to open up Twitter.com,

it's a popular social media site, and I was delighted to open my mentions and find so many

tweets from listeners who had YouTuber news in their Spotify wrapped. In fact, quite a few listeners

who had YouTube News the podcast as their number one podcast of 2020, the podcast they listen to most.

And Spotify also give you numbers, so people were posting these screenshots with all these

crazy bits of data. Like, I know, I listened to 55 episodes of YouTube News podcast for a total

of 68 hours and stuff like that. And it's just absolutely wild to see this is such a silly show

it's just me and producer joe try to make something we hope you guys will like and it's just

absolutely lovely to see so many people have it on their spotify wrapped or unwrapped whatever it may be

so a big thank you to all those people and hey even if you didn't have it on your spotify wrapped
