I'm Michael McKee, along with Tom Keene.

It's kind of a great day in New York, and that seems to be the mood.

In the markets today, Esp futures down 10 points still, half a percent.

No great news out there on the horizon either, Pacific Sunware, filing for bankruptcy protection today.

Just the latest of those youth-oriented clothing

chains to falter lists liabilities of as much as 500 million

assets of only 100 million. EMC looking to sell its documentum business, part of a plan with Dell to divest more than $6 billion in assets.

It's all part of the takeover there.

After years of pursuit with three separately

failed offers to buy the pesticide maker Shingenta, Monsanto says it no

longer sees large-scale mergers and acquisitions as a strategy.

And Valiant apparently is out there in the borrowing markets.
