Preston's the president of the Center for Faith, Sexuality, and Gender,

and he's also a New York Times best-selling author.

He's written a dozen books, including People to Be Loved, which is an award-winning book

on faith and homosexuality. Preston lives in Boise, Idaho, with his wife and kids,

here real quick is when I first started following Preston, I was confused a little bit by him,

because I was used to people publicly talking around conversation about faith and homosexuality

with a lack of care, with a lack of generosity, with a lack of compassion, with a lack of kindness,

and that's not how Preston is at all. He is full of kindness and full of compassion,

and he cares deeply for people, and he has real hard, difficult conversations around faith and

sexuality. Over the years, as I've followed Preston and have really grown to admire and respects

his work and him as a person, I was so honored to have him on the happy hour. Now, Preston has
