| 0:51.6 | Well, we start off tonight's episode with a report of recent LDS news having to do with a concert for the youth of the church. |
| 1:01.0 | It's sort of a cross between a Christian rock concert and a seminary video concert. It has to do with the performers of these seminary songs which have gotten a lot more interesting and a lot more up to date and a lot more upbeat since I was a youth in the LDS church back in the late 1970s. |
| 1:20.0 | We actually did have seminary songs back then. They came out on an LP, by the way, that stands for long playing record. It was vinyl at the time. You could probably get them in cassette tapes as well but I remember having it on vinyl and I think the name of the record was called Odyssey the Odyssey something like that and they had a bunch of rather slow moving songs on it. |

| 2:05.3 | they were swaying, they were clapping, they were God forbid raising their hands to Jesus. |
| 2:09.7 | They were doing all these things that Mormon youth did not do and we were taught to pride ourselves on that and to use that as another sign of the fact that the Christian world was in a gross state of apostasy whereas we virtuous and true Mormon youth, we were on the |
| 2:25.3 | straight and narrow because we did not engage in that kind of music and in that kind of activity. |
| 2:31.1 | Let me show you what it is that I'm talking about. |
| 2:33.1 | First off, I'll put up on the screen, the title, |
| 2:35.3 | slide forward tonight show, hey you Mormon kids, quit worshiping Jesus. |
| 2:40.0 | And going to the second slide, here is a still shot from this concert. |

| 2:47.4 | It's called Festival, a youth concert. |
| 2:50.5 | And you can see here already just from this photograph that things are looking a lot different than they did back when I was a kid |
