Who are you besides the athlete? So many times we see these guys on Saturdays and have no idea who they are underneath the helmet.

We want to share their stories, have you guys understand who they are as people,

and have a reason to support them both on and off the field.

One guy who has a story to be told is Mason Smith.

Louisiana Native, former number one player in the nation, former freshman All-American who suffered a season-ending injury a year ago.

Mason is back and ready to take college football by storm.

We're starting off the season and wanting to tell our player stories. Our first guest here is Mason Smith. Mason, for the people watching who don't know, tell them where you from what position you play.

My name is Mason Smith. I'm from Homer, Louisiana, and I play defensive line.

Homer is a place that's definitely familiar to me. Right down the road, I'm from Tib Tibuto, 30-minute ride, and I've been knowing you for a long time now.
