What up, guys, welcome to this episode of the Chiu-Jitsu podcast. On today's podcast, we're going to get into some of the different stuff going on in Jiu-Jitsu right now with like the allegations of, you know, sexual misconduct and bad behavior.

0:15.1

And, you know, a lot of that stuff that's going on right now at the time of recording this is like February of 2006. As we'll talk about the podcast, I kind of waited a little bit to kind of think about

0:25.5

it and see what was going on and kind of gather up some of my thoughts. I didn't want to make

0:29.9

some sort of post about it or some sort of podcast about it where I feel like people are,

0:35.5

it's kind of like the news. It's like, you know, like when the news comes out really quickly and they get the story

0:41.3

really wrong because they didn't think it through.

0:43.7

They're just trying to be first.

0:45.8

You know, I don't really care about being first.

0:47.6

And especially with something like this where I feel like a lot of people are just making

0:52.5

memes and profiting off of people who are

0:55.6

experienced something like really bad, traumatic, gross in some cases, like, you know,

1:02.3

different variations, different intensities as far as emotions go, but it's not good, right?

1:06.5

I want to profit off that.

1:08.0

You know, I wanted to like sort of talk about it.

1:09.4

But I did, but the thing is I did want to talk about it from a standpoint of like what I, what I see it as and also too, just sort of calling it out and also talking about that some of this behavior is not just affecting women. There's also a male side to it, although the way that it's, the way that it manifests is a little different,

1:30.2

right? And this, but this breaking down of boundaries of trust. And so we'll talk about that.

1:34.4

We'll talk about some different ideas around it. We'll also talk about the idea of

1:38.3

how hero worship in a certain way, I think is almost necessary or is very valuable to us, but when it goes too far

1:46.8

and how to sort of kind of think about that. But anyway, thank you guys for being here on the

1:51.0

podcast today. I appreciate you guys for listening and watching. If you guys want to check out

1:54.9

our sponsors to support the podcast, you can do so by going to Athletic, AT-H-L-E-T-H-C.com.
