Living in Maryland, we've had our experience

with tropical storms or hurricanes.

We used to vacation at the outer banks in North Carolina

and we've had a couple of vacations that were interrupted by hurricanes.

My first memory of a hurricane was at 12 years old, in 1972.

It was Hurricane Agnes, although by the time it got to Maryland,

it was, I think it might have only been a tropical depression.

But it created some significant problems in Maryland.

We had, I think, 10 inches of rain in a short amount of time, which caused some significant flooding.

There was a restaurant that was near where we lived

that was owned by my uncles.

I can hear the wind a little bit more intense.
