Well, that was quite the weekend, wasn't it?

And it's hard to know exactly where to begin.

On Monday morning, as the gloom descends upon London once more.

It was actually quite sunny, literally about five minutes ago.

It's now dark, gloomy, rainy, windy.

I can't actually see the Tower of London at all.

It is shrouded in mist.

There's spots on the windows. It's wet. It's awful. It's dreadful. It is also coming up to

May Bank Holiday, Whitson Bank Holiday next weekend, when it's also apparently going to be awful.

Tremendous, isn't it? Any chance of a summer? Any time soon? Anything anybody can do about that?

We shall see.

Right, anyway, let's give it a go this morning.

Dominic Cummings is preparing to give the government a complete monstering this week

before a parliamentary committee into the way Downey Street handled the initial months of the

pandemic.

Slightly strange, given that he was actually part of the process that he claims made so many mistakes.

He's been categorising it as a joke.

He wrote a 51 part thread on Twitter the other day.

I fear he's become a little bit obsessive.

But maybe he's right.
