I'm in a bit of a confusing situation and need some advice my boyfriend started a new job recently

But we don't get to spend as much time together as we used to I'm feeling a bit lost and can't help but wonder if this was his plan

All along

We've been together for three years now despite both of us working

We always made sure to spend quality time together

We had our usual stuff like going out for breakfast on weekends hidden a gem together or just hanging out watching TV at home

Things seem to be going well and we had found a good balance between our personal lives and our relationship

But things changed a bit when my boyfriend took a new job

The strange thing is that it's not a better job than his last one

He's actually earning less money and the job title isn't anything impressive

He says that even though it might look like a step back now this job will open up better opportunities for him in the future

But ever since he made this change

We've been spending a lot less time together

Our usual routines have been thrown off and I feel like we are drifting apart

At first I didn't think much of it and I thought it was just a temporary adjustment phase

But now I'm starting to wonder if he knew that this job would mean less time for us

And maybe he saw that as a good thing

Maybe that was the entire reason for taking the job

That might seem crazy

But he hasn't seemed to least bit bothered by the fact that we spend significantly less time together
