You can follow along as I read. If not, that's all right, where you're seated. Beginning in verse 6,

the Apostle Paul is writing, and by the Spirit says, nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor. Do not be deceived. God cannot

be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh from the flesh will reap destruction. Whoever soes to please the Spirit

from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let's pray if you would join with me.

Loving Heavenly Father, would you at this time settle our hearts as only you can and focus

our attention on that which you have for us today here in your word.

Lord, would you speak into our lives?

Lord, we want to hear you speak in that still small voice of the Holy Spirit as you do.

So, Lord, please Your servants are listening. We ask this in Jesus name. Amen. You can be seated. Thank you. So today's teaching is going to be part three of a series I've titled Helping the Hurting.

Up to this point, we've looked at specific ways in which we can help those who are

overtaken by or perhaps better said, caught some sin and we can do so by restoring them back to

spiritual health which is really the gist of what Paul is saying here to the Galatian churches.

Because doing so will be germane to our understanding of today's text, I want to just real quickly revisit the first three ways in verses 1 through 5.

The first one is in verse 1 and it's that of being gentle to others. Here Paul says if

pardon me someone has been caught and is at fault, those who are spiritual should keyword gently restore them. However, he packages with this admonition to

gently restore them a warning. And the warning is that we need to be very careful, lest we ourselves be tempted to think

that we're some way and somehow better than others because the fact of the matter is

this could have been easily us instead of the one whom we're seeking to restore. He's going to mention this again,

as we'll see here shortly. In addition to being gentle to others were to be compassionate

toward others. In verse two, Paul says, especially to those concerned with fulfilling the law,

that we can restore others by having compassion on others, and we can have compassion on others

by bearing and carrying each other's burdens.
