Hello there, I'm Chuck Todd and this is the Chuck Todd cast.

So August has started and in fact we're starting to wrap up, September's rolling around,

kids across the country.

I have been going back to school basically rolling start around the country that this

house seems to go back earlier than the north in general, the northeast, the final piece

of the puzzle on Labor Day weekend.

But what we've already seen is a flood of reporting about the nationwide teacher shortage

and other staff shortages that's happening right now at just about every school.

It doesn't matter the district's a wealthy district, a poor district, urban, suburban, rural,

you name it.

This is the issue.

rural Texas, some districts will only send their kids to school for four days a week for

a while.

Arizona's no longer requiring bachelor's degrees for teachers.

Native Florida has accelerated putting veterans into the teaching ranks even if they don't

yet have their bachelor's.

And many states are hiring long-term subs, trying to combine classes, administrators are

being pulled back into the classroom.

All of these is potential stopgap solutions.
