Excited to be here for a very overdue, Kate Lila, which is where I answered listener

voicemails. And now texts because I do feel like sometimes people want to be anonymous. You just have to trust me that I'm not making up these texts. Hey, girl, why are you so cool and popular and interesting? Tell me your secret. But, no, I actually, the texts are fun. And Courtney will often sort through them and send them to me so I can kind of like be surprised.

Occasionally I'll check them myself.

So if I do respond to you at some point, it actually is me.

But you know me.

I get a little scared of people trolling.

Anyway, I think this should be really fun because we have kind of like a very random assortment that came across my desk in recent months.

And the more obscure the question, the better.

And I love when they're like kind of pop culture related, but it's more about like the culture of

like being a person and talking about things like, you know, power ranking critters on polos

in terms of who had the most desirable, respectable, status symbol, like social capital

giving element of a teeny mascot you wore on your left chest when I would stack multiple polos

until I looked like a literal human square because they're so deeply unflattering on my figure.

And the only way it could afford them in high school was to buy the little boys extra large

like husky ones at Steinmart.

It wasn't my best look when I was actively

wearing things that didn't fit in order to fit in and I was effectively hulking out of the seams

of the arms. But what are you going to do? That's what we were doing at the time. We're also

wearing ribbon belts and jeans skirts and spary top siders that had never seen a boat deck,

only the squeaky halls of a suburban high school.

And it was a great time.
