0:10.3	Hey, it's me, Chris Hardwick. I am lighten up this feed again, the former ID10T podcast, which
0:20.3	it's been, I'm not wearing a watch, but I'm looking at my wrist
0:24.2	as if I were because of space work. And it's been three years. It's been three years since I posted
0:30.7	a podcast. So let me just go back a little bit and say that in January of 2022, our daughter was born, Dimmody, and it was amazing.
0:42.9	Probably about a month after that, I hit pause on the podcast for several reasons, the first of which being I was going to take a parental leave, right?
0:57.0	I was going to take like three months off, six months off, whatever, and just, you know, hit pause, focus on being a dad, which has been an absolutely amazing experience.
1:09.0	I'm sure I'll talk plenty about that.
1:12.3	And so I did, you know, probably, I don't know, maybe February or March of 2022 was the last
1:20.9	episode that was posted with Al Madrigal. And it, I really had intended to come back, you know, not too long after
1:30.2	that. But when I got a little time away from the podcast, it just, I realized a lot of things. First and
1:39.1	foremost, I had been doing the podcast for 12 years, almost 1,200 episodes. And I think I was a little burned out.
1:47.3	First of all, I just, I had noticed that in, at least in my mind, I was asking a lot of the
1:54.5	same questions. I was having a lot of similar conversations. And it didn't feel as new to me anymore, which was was totally on me.
2:06.5	I mean, I'm always thankful because the guests are always fantastic. And so it really was
2:10.4	just like, I don't know if I'm doing as good a job. I'm not as focused. And also,
2:14.9	during pandemic, the video conferencing, doing the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the
2:30.3	the, the, the, the, the, you know, the, you know, previously, even to talk to people that, you know,
2:35.4	previously, even pre-pandemic, just maybe didn't come to L.A. So we were talking, I was talking
2:41.0	to people all over the country, all over the world. And it really opened up a lot for me.
2:44.7	It also opened up a tremendous amount of post-production work from the standpoint of, you know, in person, I'd show up, sit down, talk, you know,
2:55.7	that was pretty much it.
