Helena is founder and director of Local Futures.

Local Futures is a non-profit organization dedicated

to the revitalization of culture and biological diversity

and the strengthening of local communities and economies worldwide.

Helena is the author of the international best-selling book Ancient Futures about tradition and change

in the Himalayan region of Laddak. She is also the author of Local is Our Future 2019 in which

he advocates for localized alternatives to the global economy.

She's well ahead of the curve with all that stuff,

whether it's like things that's apparently sort of small and parochial,

like farmers markets,

or the idea of a sort of a confederacy for running the world differently.
