0:00.0	Hey, everybody. This is Heidi St. John. Welcome to Off the Bench. Today is Thursday, the fourth of
0:06.2	August. And I realize that this show is airing a little bit late. I'm going to give you guys an
0:10.9	election recap. Some of my thoughts moving forward. And what I think the Lord has in store
0:16.8	for his people as we get off the bench and onto the battlefield stick around. I think you're
0:20.4	going to be encouraged. Well, so the two is going to be a different show. And I saved this day. So
0:36.0	tomorrow actually we're going to be doing something different for the next several days. My husband
0:40.3	and myself and some of our kids are going to get out a dodge. So to speak, we're going to take a
0:44.9	little bit of a break. It's been 18 months since we've had any kind of a break from a very, very
0:50.9	hectic schedule for the last year and a half. But we saved today's podcast so that I could come on
1:00.0	on Thursday morning and give you guys an update. So here's the brief update on my run for Congress
1:05.2	as it stands right now. So Washington State is a mail-in ballot only. We don't have in-person voting.
1:11.2	I know a lot of you are gasping right now. It actually is pretty horrifying and it's not very fun
1:14.8	to vote this way. It's much more exciting and frankly more honest, I think, when we can go to the
1:20.4	polls and vote. But we don't do that here in Washington State. And so it takes quite a while.
1:25.3	We're used to this. It can take several days for election results to come in. And as of last night,
1:31.8	we had several people from the campaign just over to our house and we're just sitting around talking.
1:35.0	And I really have the most wonderful people that have worked with me for the last
1:38.8	year and a half really on this, on the campaign. But anyway, we were over last night and when
1:45.6	everybody left, there were still, I think, somewhere in the neighborhood of 61,000 outstanding
1:52.4	ballots in Clark County alone that had not been tabulated. They're trying to verify signatures
1:59.5	and all the things. And so frankly, it's faster when people vote in person to show ID because
2:05.2	they just know that you are who you are. And so the way that they do it now, it just takes a long,
