This evening we'll be beginning Heidi by the German Swiss author Johanna Speery.

It was originally published between 1880 and 1881.

The English version we were using is translated by Elizabeth Pausinger Stalk and was published

in 1919.

It includes both parts in one single book, though Speery wrote it in several dozen.
