So two years ago, Miles preached a sermon out of Luke chapter 8 titled The Double Miracle.

And in that story and in that sermon, he preached about a woman who had an issue of bleeding for 12 years.

And at the exact same time,

there was a 12-year-old little girl, Jaris's daughter, who passed away.

And at the exact same moment, both of those were happening.

Jesus heals both.

Powerful sermon, the double miracle.

That morning at church, during that sermon, I get a text from my dad, who's actually here today. And the text says

this, my mom who has stage four cancer is bleeding internally. And if she does not stop bleeding

internally, then she won't make it through the night. I'm sitting in church when I get that

text.

So immediately, our whole family packs up.

At the time, my wife was seven months pregnant with our second child.

We did not know the gender at the time.

We literally meet our doctor on the way out of town.

He finds out the gender, puts it in an envelope so my mom can read it because we wanted her to see that before she passed.

Show up at the hospital, spend time with her.

I end up spending the entire night just up talking, sharing stories, not sure if this

would be her last night. And then I heard words, I'll never forget the next morning from the
