to be your light in this dark world. In Jesus' name, amen. Here's our study of Hebrews 3 on

through the Bible with Dr. J. Vernon McGee. Now, we are back here in the third chapter, and we're in one of these danger signals, the second one,

that's here in the book, The Peril of Doubting God.

Now, what he's speaking of here are those that are already saved, but they are not entering into the blessings of the Christian life,

and they doubt God.

And as a result, why they are having a wilderness experience.

And the writer here likens the experience of those believers then to the believers that were redeemed out of Egypt.

But that generation died in the wilderness.

They never knew the blessings of Canaan.

And Canaan, by the way, is not death of a believer, as so many seem to think today, and I hear this song sung with great

gusto today on Jordan's stormy banks, I stand and cast a wistful eye. My brother, if you ever seen

the Jordan River, that's not a very stormy little stream. It's a dirty, filthy little

stream, and it's very little, by the way. And the fact of the matter is, crossing Jordan hasn't

anything in a world to do with your death and mind. It has to do with the death of Christ,
