Chapter 13, verse 1, let brotherly love continue.

Let me pause a second.

So this is a good break because the end of chapter 12 was really sort of the end of that

thought.

And as we pick up here in chapter 13, remember way back at the beginning

of St. Paul's Epistles of the Hebrews, I said that like the ending kind of looks like the

ending of one of his letters, even though the beginning does not look like the beginning of a letter.

This is really the beginning of the letter ending, right? This is where it starts sounding like,

as we've seen, this is the

last of St. Paul's epistles we're going through, so we've read all the other ones. As we've seen at

the end, he sort of has these final admonitions and notes to people. That's what chapter 13,

as we're going to see, is going to be. So it's not necessarily, we saw this sort of sustained rhetorical argument that really

ends there at the end of chapter 12.

And now this seems like the part that was sort of appended when it was sent out, when

the text was sent out.

So 13, verse 1,

let brotherly love continue.

Do not forget to entertain strangers,

for by so doing,

some have unwittingly entertained angels.
