moment, we'll be picking up in St. Paul's Epistle to the Hebrews chapter 11. We left off last time

at the end of chapter 10. We've talked about how St. Paul's epistle to the Hebrews is a little different than

his other epistles in that, first of all, it's not really an epistle in the sense that

it's not really a letter, but that it's more of like a homily or a sermon that has been sent

somewhere, right?

And so we're going to see eventually,

where we get to the end in Chapter 13,

that there's sort of the stuff you'd expect at the end of a letter,

but we saw back at the beginning of Chapter 1,

there wasn't any of the stuff you'd expect at the beginning of a letter, right?

Because it's a text that's being sent somewhere.

And we're going to see tonight, again, some more of that letter, right? Because it's a text that's being sent somewhere. And we're going to see tonight, again, some more of that evidence of this being something that was delivered

orally, right, to people. We've already seen some of that as we've gone along. And so one of the

other recurring themes, and this is part of where we ended up last time,

has been a series of warnings against apostasy, warnings against leaving the Christian faith,

right, turning away from Christ, either under persecution and difficulty or just because of the things of the world or for whatever

other reason. And so this contrast has been made. And we talked about how it's usually in English

translations like the New King James Version that we're reading from in the Orthodox study Bible,

that it's usually from in the Orthodox Study Bible, um,
