0:14.8	through 1st Corinthians 13, Paul's definition of love. What last forever? It's a funny question for most Americans because we expect to throw out basically everything we own.
0:29.0	Who expects to be driving the same car in 30 years?
0:32.0	To use the same car in 30 years, to use the same refrigerator, wear the same clothes, not to mention
0:36.9	cell phones and all the other things that we throw out after just a few years.
0:42.5	What lasts forever?
0:45.7	Today we are finishing our Bible talks on 1 Corinthians 13.
0:50.0	This chapter is Paul's definitive definition of love.
0:54.4	He closes this chapter with a statement about what does and what does not last forever.
1:01.6	So what do you think he's going to say? What lasts forever according to
1:05.4	Paul? You might assume that he would say all of your spiritual gifts or all of your
1:12.1	spiritual knowledge or all the great things that you've done for God, but you'd
1:17.9	be wrong. Let's just read what he writes. Love never fails.
1:24.0	But where there are prophecies, they will cease.
1:28.0	Where there are tongues, they'll be stilled.
1:31.0	Where there's knowledge, it will pass away.
1:35.0	For we know and prophesy in part.
1:38.0	But when completeness comes, what is in part will disappear.
1:43.2	When I was a child, I talked like a child,
1:45.1	I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child.
1:48.4	When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.
