1:12.1	Did I ever tell you guys about the time that I brought a donkey to church?
1:16.3	I don't remember if I've talked about this on the podcast yet or not, but when I was a
1:20.4	children's pastor years ago, I made arrangements. Now we live in like a rural part of
1:25.4	Pennsylvania, so I had access. But we made arrangements to
1:28.8	bring in a donkey on Palm Sunday. And so I gathered a bunch of the leaves, the palm leaves,
1:36.3	and we paid the donkey with root beer, root beer barrels, the candy, I guess. And we literally had a scenario where we had somebody
1:51.1	dress up like Jesus and he rode in on a donkey and the kids all shouted Hosanna and then
1:57.2	laid down their palm branches on the ground. And that day in kids' church is probably one of
2:05.1	my most memorable experiences of the entire time I was a children's pastor because of the
2:09.8	excitement. Literally, now, mind you, we met in a movie theater, and I did not ask permission.
2:16.9	I asked for forgiveness and I there was no
2:18.9	messes but I had promised to clean up any mess that there was. But it was such an exciting day.
2:24.6	The kids were so excited and to have this donkey in there and learn about a donkey and see
2:30.6	what it would have been like. The kids were just so excited.
