Amen. Well, open your Bibles to Philemen. How about that? Give you a good one to find right off.

You know, we talk, and in this church we've got a lot of doers, don't we? I'm a doer. I'm a doer. I'm a doer. I'm a doer of the Word of God. But you cannot be a doer of the word of God unless you're a hearer of the word of God.

Now, the Bible does tell us not only to be a hearer, but unless you first hear, you ain't going to do.

And if you hear wrong, you ain't going to do it right.

So hearing is quite important, is it not? So today we want to

talk about hearing from God, hearing period, hearing to gain faith, hearing the word, understanding

it, receiving in the capacity that it was given, and being the doer that God's created us to be.

We cannot be that.

And unless we hear his word properly, you know, it's a lot of people say, well, you know, you just got to listen to it.

No, you've got to hear it.

You can listen to lots of things.

You can be listening.

You can, you know, I could be sitting here and I could hear somebody over here.

But I don't know their heart.

I don't know what they're talking about.

I don't know what they mean, unless I truly know their heart.

Right?

It's communication.

It's not just me hearing and thinking, I know everything that he just said.

It's true communication between us and God, between His Word and our heart.

And the way we hear it decides what type of a communication it is.
