Summary

On today’s episode of Hear Me Out… which wave is this, anyway? There’s no denying that the feminist movement looks different now than it did 50 years ago — and in some ways, that’s a good thing. But there’s an argument to be made that the modern movement skews politically progressive… so much so that it’s leaving some women, and some issues, behind. Phyllis Chesler, author and second-wave feminist, joins us. a hostile political climate, and intersectional issues

that hurt black and brown women the most. So for still fighting for equality of

the sexes, why does some women feel like feminism is failing?

0:54.7

Why are so many young women in America marching and committing civil disobedience to

1:00.5

so many issues that have little to do with American women's rights.

Phyllis Chesler, feminist scholar and writer,

joins us to argue that feminism is dying,

1:11.0

but that it can be saved.

Stay with us.

Welcome back to Hear Me Out.

1:22.4

I'm Celeste Hedley. Feminism is one of those words that causes a lot of people to bristle, both males and females.

1:30.0
