you focus on a part of your life you'd like to heal and as you do so I invite

you to consider a word that might represent what you'd like to bring into your life this

year. As it's a new year you may have new aspirations, new hopes and desires for this year

and you may or may not set resolutions but throughout this year as I share meditation with you

I'll be mentioning a word of the year to reinforce what you're wanting to reflect on this year.

So think about what you'd like to bring into your life and this can be an important part

of any healing journey you might be on. Your mindfulness habit for today is to become

consciously aware of where your attention is directed. As you go throughout your day begin to

reflect on your reactions to certain events, people and situations even to locations where you

spend your time. When you begin to pull more inward as you go throughout your days and reflect

on your reactions to outward events this will help you to become more present in the moment.

This practice helps you to become more present to yourself as you go throughout your day

and live through your life experiences. You might even keep a journal

regarding certain stronger reactions you have to events. Notice where you're placing your energy.

This will allow you to know how you're living your life. Are you giving too much energy to outward

events? Maybe events over which you don't have much control. The goal by doing this practice
