More About Golden Topaz: Golden topaz was one of the first crystals discovered and used by humans, prized for its connection with the sun. It’s also known as one of the “Sunday Gemstones” both because its color associates it with the sun, and because this spiritual stone is traditionally valued for lifting curses (so it's connected with the holy day of Sunday). Its oldest known use is for protection by turning away the evil eye, and ever since it has been associated with just about anything related to healing the eyes. For instance Saint Hildegard von Bingen went so far as to claim that a piece of topaz taken into a dark chapel would give off so much light, you could even read a prayer book by it! She also recommended a crystal elixir of sorts for eye ailments: topaz soaked in wine and applied to the eyelids, with the leftover wine used as an eyewash over the next few days. Historically, Topaz was said to have another odd power. When placed in anything poisonous, it was said to become invisible (Don't try this at home!). In the modern day, people still see Topaz as a stone of light that can surround us with a golden and spiritual glow. This sunny crystal is also known to be useful for spiritual development. One way to work with this stone: Golden topaz is an excellent stone to wear in jewelry since it can improve both your energy level and your mood. Pin It! a crystal for shining your inner light. But before we get started, I'd like to answer one of our

1:01.2

Today's question comes from Vance.

1:03.7

And Vance asks an amazingly interesting question and one that I am super excited to talk about.

1:10.5

So Vance says, I've heard of creating

1:13.2

crystal grids for plants, but I'm curious to know if there's any information on using a plant

1:19.9

to replace the center stone in the grid. To plants hold compatible energies that can be

1:26.3

enhanced or channeled when used in a grid.

1:30.7

Vance, I love this question. I adore this question. I'm so excited about it. So here's my answer.

1:38.9

Yes, you can 100% use a crystal as the center of the crystal grid. But let's talk about this a little bit.

1:46.2

So when we create a traditional grid, we put a crystal in the center and we call that the central

1:53.3

stone or according to the very popular method of crystal grid creation that was widely shared by

2:00.7

Elaine Smith, who is now passed away,

2:04.0

who actually learned it from Stacey Collier, who is, I believe, maybe the head of the metaphysical

2:10.8

department of Enter the Earth crystals. It's also called an anchor stone. So the idea with that

2:16.7

central stone is it kind of sets the

2:18.8

intention or the theme for the whole grid. It's like the most overarching part of the intention.
